The end of last week we spent in COPENHAGEN visiting our friend ALISA, eating a lot of great food, enjoying the stunning summer weather. Copenhagen has, as most of Scandinavia, had a SHITTY summer so far, so we were super lucky with the weather. It was so nice seeing Alisa again and getting to know her Copenhagen. And what can I say; Alisa's Copenhagen is GREAT! My favorite thing about the whole trip was maybe this amazingly delicious AMASS FRIED CHICKEN accompanied by a spicy pickled salad and a biscuit, eaten out of a CARDBOARD BOX and enjoyed in the Amass FLOWER and HERB garden. The meal also included a brownie for dessert! The whole meal is just crazy delicious. Eating it EAGERLY with my hands made my feel like an animal, a quite lucky and LUXURIOUS one. If you have the chance, you just have to try it. Next to the soul fulfilling (and stomach filling) meal, the bike ride out there was also beautiful; passing houseboats and charming canals, feeling the sun and wind on my skin. Days like these last a long time. Living in BERGEN these last couple of years as made me realize how lucky I was those years when we traveled all the time. And I'm so grateful that I have all these pictures to remember it by. Still, traveling all the time, not really ever having an every day life, made me appreciate it less, a lot less than I do now. For the future I hope for a balance, meaning a little bit more of this!
