There are many sides to being a very visually oriented person. A bright one is that I see a lot of beauty, often where others don't. One of the backsides to my need for thing to look nice, is when it manifests itself in an urge to redecorate other peoples houses ..especially if I am staying there for some while. Like these days for instance. E and I are currently staying in his parents house while they are away on holiday. One night we felt it was too cold to eat outside, so we decided to have dinner indoors. While E was in the kitchen preparing dinner I realized that if we moved the dining table to a different part of the living room, we would get really nice afternoon light. So then I just had to do it. I’ve done similar things at our cabin, and while at my sister’s boyfriend's cabin too. I have always loved redecorating, ever since I was a child, so even though I am not that strong, I have techniques (some of them learned from my mother, she is also a fan of redecorating) that make it possible for me to move furniture that I can't carry in the traditional sense. As a child I also sometimes organized my friends rooms if I felt that their clutter prevented the room from living up to its full potential. We all have our things..
The meal was by the way delicious; grilled wild boar, creamy potato salad, watercress, kale chips and chicken stock and white wine reduction with soy sauce and sherry vinegar. Click the picture if you want to see how the redecorated meal turned out.
